Flash memory?

I was looking around different flash memories for the digital camera and there seems to be different kinds. The main difference being cycling rates and data transfer rate. Just want to make sure, faster rate = better? :confused:

Yes, a faster rate is better but it also depends on your camera's processing time. No use spending the extra money on a nice fst card when your camera can't get the data to that point fast enough.

it will likely have an impact once you approach the DSLRs that can fill up memory cards very quickly esp with their 6+ MP images. apart from that normal cameras don't especially need them because JPEGs are rarely above 1-2MB, and standard compact flash writes up to 500-600k/sec.
