View Full Version : flight sim 2002 question
a freind at work has this to ask..................
" how you can get the 777 to land by itself. it should be able to. I fly IFR. when I approach the airport it tells me to descend and all that until I get localized on the ILS. then nothing happens my plane keeps going "
i don't have the game installed any more and don't know how to do this anyways.
any ideas ??
Doesn't really work all that well for landing. But you need to click on the APR button on the Autopilot console. Then it will fly the ILS landing provided you entered the frequency into your radio stack. Mind you though that it doesn't do a very good job of it.:(
alright thanks, i sent him this link to read.

Yep. APR=Aproach Hold.
Only way it will fly the ILS. Does good till you are ready to land. Then you'll have to switch over to manual control. Otherwise you'll nose into the runway.:rotfl:
As far as setting the freq's. In the scenario type things and Flights it's set automatically.
For user created flights you just open up the radio stack, and click on the numbers. Then that radio device on.
Usually you set ILS freq into NAV1.
