Speedguide Squads?

Want to sort of form up small 4-5 man squads for DC/BF?


Hansolo, Randy, and myself have sort of formed up a small squad. Each with his own role. Once we get enough squads together and enough pratice working together we could give each squad it's own objective for each map. Saying ok Squad 1 capture and hold the North Outpost ect. Seems like if we are going to get semi serious about playing this is the way to go.

Chris would be a member of the Suicide Squad... They sacrafice themselves for the team. Thats what I do when I use C4..:D

Same here!! and flying jets, driving jeeps, ect. into anything that need's to be destroyed! :)

BUT, im not going to be part of that squad :D Im best used to capping flags and such.

i played some last nite and teamed up with littlegirl, she can sure fly a helicopter and is nice enough to pick ya up after ya cap a flag, works well with others.

this game is so much better when people work as a unit don't ya think ?

If someone wants to take the initiative it would be wise to form a Air Sqaudron with the best SG pilots we have. This would include chopper pilots for ground squad deployment behind front lines. Not sure who our best pilots are, but I'm not one of them.

I'll probably go with Chris here....I like to stay around a capture point and take out enemy aircraft with shoulder fired rockets/stingers/rpg's. If need be...I will make use of most tanks and light armored vehicles to get from point A to point B to help capture an enemy post. I can pretty much fill any role with the exception of a pilot....although I can fly an aircraft safely when used as a taxi lol.

But I can work with anybody or with anyone who feels that they can use me.;)

That's pretty much the idea UOD. Get a couple small squads together and assign each squad to capture and hold an outpost. Not go running all over. Have an Air Squad to call on when air support is needed. And a bunch of Ground squads.

gimmie a sniper from either team or car-15 and insert me in with the infiltration(assault) team, i am good at tactical clearing of rooms from way too much time playin SWAT and Rainbow six games too but either way im cool, whereever ya need me im there

I am pretty decent with tanks and close combat with assault weapons. I am starting to finally get used to the jets and such. I am alright in some choppers, but the way I fly I am too vulnerable a lot of the time. I wouldn't mind different units to stay together... might be a little more fun actually...

I have worked with some poeople a lot, others not so much. On a dew occassions Cat and I have had tank parties where we hold down behind sandbags and blast whoever comes our way. Also we help fix each others tanks and our own and cover the other guy. Seems to work nicely most of the time.

Littlegirl is one hell of a flyer. Whenever she or he takes off and notices you standing there she or he will come back and get ya. has some great moves to, She or he has won a few rounds soley because of he or she's plane skill's she or he don't even have to get out of the heli to take a flag.

I have no idea whether littlegirl is a guy or a girl so I put both down incase that person is reading this. Don't think they joined up in the forums I told them to though. Teamwork makes the game real fun to play.

If ANYONE (squads) has a need for artillery, please give a target!

Assault, Special ops and snipers can do. 1 call lasts 2 minutes. I toggle thru multiple calls with scroll wheel. Most likely won't get a response, but every once in a while, someone is listening. ;)

I like the idea of utilizing artillery more often. I think its a good idea to call in artillery on the main base and just constantly hammer it to cripple the opposing temas armor and vehicles.
I can fly a chopper or assault on foot. Favorite class is heavy assault or Spc. Ops.

I know how ya feel man..Just spent the entire 73 Easting map and not one sorry SOB would give a call...:( Makes it alot easier to roll over a flag when it's been pounded for a few minutes..

I like guarding flags setting booby traps etc.

I am not much of a pilot so i like to stay between 2 flags

I employ many different tactics depending on the map.

we need to use teamspeak and set up a room for red and a room for blue.

YOSC can we up the # of players from 8 to say 16?

Maybe each squad could set their own TS. I don't use TS cause I don't say shyte and the babble gets crazy! A channel per squad would rule!

Then there's the flip flop of teams though.

my thoughts on organizaion since I think that everyone should have an assigned position but in the end its all up to yall we do need a team leader tho whp chooses who goes to what regiment

-Tank drivers(split evenly between number of tanks in level since there would be 2 divisions..engineer class)

-Soldier regiment(2 or 3 divisions)

-Spec ops class soldier(front)
-heavy assault class soldier

The trouble with this whole deal as far as I can see is that the maps are so different. Hard to assign one specific function to somebody with the variance in the maps.


We should really start small. Pick a map. Set up 2 teams. Then the teams discuss amongst themselves who's going to perform what role/task.


Then we see about setting up a time and beg Cat, or Faust to Password the server for a short while so we can play against eachother. Have a match or whatever. From there we can expand on it.

Sounds like a good idea to me Scotte, but who is going to make up the squads? I can think of nothing better than a squad of M1's rolling across the desert with Helo's overhead loaded with troops and support. It would be an unstopable force. Let me know where you need me.

Well best thing I can think of and what seems to be the best Idea is to just get a list of people who are in and pull names out of a hat.

The whole team thing may be tough to manage, but small squads who work good together is cool.
Jackle, randy, Scot and I have been working pretty close for a couple days now, using team speak. the results are awesome.
Biggest prob is if someone is on teamspeak who is on other team...thats bad...........lol
But a helo with 3 or 4 tanks below all in comunication works great
