so for the past week, ive been getting these system messages from some dude on the network.

One, never seen em before so i dont know how to respond.

whats he doin? how do i respond...

i did get his IP on the local....

found it..... but need pass to send message... which means he got to send me one cause....? guest account? or guessed password...?

If this is an offiice computer you want to report this rather than deal with it yourself. Accessing someone else's machine without permission or to send unofficial communication is generally frowned upon in hte business world.

this is in school.... he hasnt done anything maliciously visible.... yet.....

if its NT4

bring up a dos prompt

net send (ip address) "your message"

or as they said above, disable..

That will only prevent some things. If this is your machine, I would install sygate personal firewall or the like. That would prevent other means of access.
