I am on Road Runner and want to hook up a 2nd PC. I dont really want to run a RJ45 cord from 1 PC tp the other so I was looking at picking up a wireless router.

My question is, can I have the 1st PC maintain a hard wired connection while the second is using the wireless connection?

Yes, you can use a Wireless Linksys Router with 4 Port Switch (http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.jsp?c=1&b=g&catoid=-10265&qp=0&oid=37889).

You can plug up to 4 computers into it directly and also connect any wirelessly

At the moment the best performance for the price is: D-Link Extreme G Bundle Kit ($89 after rebate). (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10344769&loc=101&sp=1)

Why?

Notice how the D-Link and Netgear Super G stick out above the Crowd.

Every review gives different results

Yeah - depends on which vendor's rep buys the most expensive dinner during the 'review'

Many times, these are written before products even beta. It's all the marketing machine.
