DNS Help please!!!!!

Hi all,

I need help,

Our DNS server is on the verge of death.
Its a linux red hat 6.2 machine and i need to get the config
files off the server before it dies for good. At the moment if i have to reboot it, it takes 10 minutes of manual fsck to bring it up.

So please, where are all the config files for the DNS?

i've been in /etc and edited named.conf named.boot
then in /var/named and then edited named.ca and named.local

What else do i have to amend? where are all the config files for the MX records?? and the long list of internal ip address resolving our files server, oracle and apps servers.

As you probably have noticed there are not too many Linux people around here. I’m not saying you won’t get an answer but your chances are a lot higher if you post on a forum dedicated to Linux or Red Hat.
