Some of you know I put my Dell PowerEdge up as a Call of Duty server. It's mostly for my old clan buddies, ZombieBattalion...who I used to hang with and be involved with back in the UT days. They were quite a well known clan, did a lot of serious competitions, ladders, etc.
I'm pretty much hands off of that server, I don't really like the game, just put it up for them to start building their clan up with again, bring "ZB" out of retirement, start competing again. They were supposed to be chipping in via PayPal, and having LAN parties in the training room down the hall from my office, here's a pic of one row....there's 30 PC's in this room. LAN parties were going to be 20 bucks/head..which would go to Rich the bandwidth guy, who actually owns these PC's and the bandwidth they sit on. Imagine having a LAN party, server is on premesis, server is public because you're on an OC-3, so it would be a jammed packed server, and peeps who couldn't make it to the LAN can still play from home!

Anyways, they're not chipping in via paypal, and they cancelled the first attempt at a LAN party. So no $$$ for Rich, and I'm not up for a free ride from them just because I can produce and host a server for them for free.
If we have some number of SG players who do indeed play on it, I'll consider letting it stay. If we don't, I'll probably be pulling the plug pretty soon unless they start coughing up some cabbage for it.
