Hello, a few months ago I ran across a regedit to stop the annoying "Check for update -send or dont send" box that pops up every 10 minutes or so with Zone Alarm Pro 4.
I got a new pc and for some reason I cant find the regedit anymore. I forgot what I searched for the first time.. Anyone know where i can find it? thanks for any help

Skip zonealarm anyways
get sygate
http://www.sygate.com
Besides the problems that ZA has its a resource hog.

thanks, ive tried sygate,I just prefer ZAP,its never gave me troubles and I like the ease of adding IP ranges with ZAPUpdater.
next time ill bookmark that regedit link....lol
God...stop with the anti-ZoneAlarm bull**** already. Resource hog my ass.
If you're referring to the automatic ZoneAlarm updater, then go into the program under Overview > Preferences set the update to Manual.

No you get over yourself Burke, let's see....... how many pcs do you work on in a week and have to fix what ZA and other poorly written programs have done? And how many firewalls have you tested and tried? I can say from experience that ZA is the worst firewall available, period. It causes more problems than ANY other firewall I've seen. Some people never have a problem with it, but WAY too many people do.
:nope: :rtfm:
