View Full Version : redir.vxd, dfs.vxd, and msnp32.dll not found?
I think this is the rigth place to ask.
This is on a Win98SE lappy I've been working on. I reinstalled windows and it was working but now whevever I start up I get this screen saying It can't find the files. Gets really annoying.
Fix?:p

Windows networking components somehow were dealt with improperly....like a network card not removed right, or something was interrupted while networking components were being added or removed.
Make sure NIC drivers are up to date, also I'd say boot into safe mode, look in Device Manager, remove any network adapters listed but not present.
Add "Client for Microsoft networks" client
Add "File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks" service.
Feed Win98 cd or point to cabs when prompted....let it load.
Reboot.
Then remove any components you just added.
Reboot.
Now if you need any of them, add again.
