Are you talking about having a "CAN"....Campus Area Network...setup on wireless? Building to building, and certain outdoor patio "hot spots"?
Or just a wireless in your dorm room?

It depends on what Bandwidth you have to begin with, and how many Access Point you are going to install.
On 801.11b Access Point while more than 3-4 people surf at he same time it starts to slow down.
If (as an example) your stats show that 50% of the users are On most of the time, you would have to consider one Access Point for 8 users.

Additional info's bout my question..

Yes in my dorm room. Actually my room has already a wired setup and my co-dormies want to connect to me to have an internet access. He doesnt like a wired setup so i think wireless is what he meant. So how do i start? What do i need? What access point device is recommended for 4-6 computers?
Thanks.

On a campus with a laptop wireless is the only way to go. Youll need a pcmcia card see your campus computer store they can help you.
Personally I like the cisco airnet cards myself.
