Please believe me when I say non-DC maps don't work well. I'm not sure if there is a way in the new manager to add a map once, without putting it in the map cycle, if we find a way, can try them. But adding them to the map cycle requires restarting the server I believe. And thusly removing them from that map cycle also requires stop/start...which I don't like doing since the server's often crowded.

Anyways...Midway, yes it slows to a crawl because DC mod is not friendly towards carries...and sure enough some jackhole will hop in the carrier, drive it around, and then the game becomes a slideshow. Then our server gains a reputation for being a laggy server (even though it's not the hardwares fault), and people leave. :irate:

So I know some are getting tired of the same maps...but they're there because they run well. Wake is "so-so"....haven't yanked it yet, but it runs somewhat OK (not great) since it's a fairly small map. But 1.6 is about near, we'll be running vanilla soon for a while..so we will have some change of pace there.

Sounds good Cat! I too cant wait for 1.6 to come out. Like you said..im getting tired of playing the same maps over and over again, lol. I've been playing on some other DC servers from time to time looking for vanilla maps. :)

Although I just downloaded a new map for DC... It's called

DC Heli War (http://www.bf1942files.com/file.info?ID=22734) I haven't tried it out yet, but it sounds like fun!
