If you could mod BF1942, what theme would you go with?

I'd love to do an Escape From New York theme.


Police against bad guys with a decimated New York as the playing field.

A day at the Mall, BF 42 style. Boxing day:)

or

Nascar, BF Style, pit crew with rocket launchers :)
Rusty Wallace takes the lead and commin out of turn four and....ooooooo, hes taken out by Petty's Jack man. :D

or

Mario BF.

One team of Marios and the oposition is all Luigi's.

or

Moon base Alpha, weightless areas and artificial gravity areas, cool laser weapons, and moon buggy's

or


Bike gangs, ride Harley's to the oppositions club house, Shot guns, chain launchers, Semi Autos, C4, lots of great fun

Rum Runner Mod. Like circa 1930's. Tommy Guns box trucks and old cars. Boats and what not. would be cool imo.

I have it all laid out kinda like Lord of the ring's Theme

You get to ride horses and such. With trebuchets and what not. Also it's more like a quest idea...

So the game starts in the middle of the huge map... like middle earth..

Say we start at the hobbits town.. if good wins that round we go one step further to mount doom... If evil wins, it goes further to "hell" and toward the dark lords.

We'll have archers and melee folks. Even one or two of thos dragon flying thingys too.

So it'll be like a push and go game...

For the good, start at map 0, if good wins go to map 1, win again, map 2 then final map 3 and they have to throw ring if fire.

For the evil, start at map 0, if evil wins go to map -1, win again, map -2 and final map -3 that's when the evil overlord gets the ring back and the whole "campaign" game is finished.

It's possible the struggle could last forever since it can go from map -1 to map 0 to map 1 then map 0 and end back at map -1

Las Vegas mod. Battle arenas would take place on top of casinos, in gambling areas, a posh strip club (I'm thinking the Ra), The suburbs of Vegas, and the McCarran Airport.

Collect cash to buy better weaponry, which you can buy at small stores stratgeticlly placed around the maps. Cash can be rewarded by kills, breaking open ATM machines, hell, maybe even some quick gambling.

And have the old women playing slot machines rendered perfectly to better suit the astmosphere of the mod!!!

Fun game online! Loved it...ran a server for a while doing just 1vs1 Honor Arena battles.

To EA's question...I'd like to dive into the WWI mods for it out there. WWI and WWII military action is pretty much my fave of any game.

I had that.. I even downloaded the coop mod... too many cheaters... Head chopped off every dang time! but it was fun!

That game always did stare at me at best buy back in the browse and buy days. I never did get it though. Now I'm sorry I didn't. :(

It was kinda cool...I enjoyed it. Single player took a while to get into, some repetitive levels at first, but then it got kinda fun.

Multiplayer though...a whole different spin. Most servers out there were just "melee" servers...you're on your own fighting against all others. But some servers got into what was called "1 versus 1 Arena" matches...different levels something like Roman collosiums, gladiator stadiums, stuff like that.

You would spawn in an armory room...pick your shield/weapon of choice from all the choices up there. Then walk out and stand around the stadium, with others, watching 2 peeps battle it out. The winner of that match would go regenerate after winning his fight...then the next challenger in line would step in...you'd salute each other...then battle it out.

Repeat process.

There were often lamers out there who would log in...grab something, then run into the arena and cause a stir. Standing in the sidelines, no damage occured, so they couldn't whack the peeps in line. An admin often had to remain present to keep order.

A 3rd person view from just behind and above your character. I really enjoyed playing that online for quite some time.

I loved those.. I remember playing it..

I always stood on the sidelines but what I did is when no one's looking I throw my axe at them and giggle.. sometimes I get a kill for it..

It's so much fun.. I block every damn thing and they get so frustrated.. hehe..

I would do something similar to GTA. Swat teams, cartels, DEA, etc. There is someone currently working on a mod like that though.

Not yet.. They are still in the Internal Beta-testing phase. It hasnt been released to public yet. The way I understand it is.. Lakrillo, the teamleader of the mod, wants to have a full conversion mod done before he releases it. Hopefully we will get something soon. They have been working on it for a year. The way it sounds is that they are just working out some bugs. So hopefully soon.. So stay tuned, Im really looking forward to it as well.

know what i really liked?


the GC mod (galactic combat. basically a Star Wars mod). if it had been as polished as reg '42 & DC and a bit less buggy, i think it would have been great. cruising around in a AT-ST (the smaller 2 legged imperial walker), or a Tie Fighter (sp?) or bomber or snowspeeder......... aside from the bugginess, i really liked it. too bad there was only one map (Hoth).
