no matter how many times i edit my mtu setting it still comes up as 1440 apon running test .. i cant make it stick.. what the heck am i doing wrong.. by the way .. a helpfull tip.. i did however find that when i ran a single new cat 5 cable wire directly from my outside box .. through the attick .. and inside down a wall to my dsl box.. i did gained a speed average of 95 to 110 more but i did use new jacks .. the whole thing cost me about $18.00 bucks with the wire and a new jack.. i also had an old punchdown tool.. i used new data jack as well .. but with a little screw driver and a pair of needle nose pliers.. you can punch down on a data jack.
