Yes you can try power cycling the modem to see if it works, but from what I see Adelphia is crap.....Go to the Adelphia Powerlink Forum (http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/adelphia) on BBR.com and see how many problems they are having....terrible service :o

yobby- there are a few things you can do to help your situation.
First start here with
mnosteeles tips. (http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?threadid=73799) follow it completely and carfully. ;)
Thanks folks. Before tweaking my system, I would like to try cycling through the modem. Not sure how. It is a Terayon, non DOCSIS modem for Adelphia cable. How do I Turn it off? Do I turn it on first or the computer first? I don't want to fool with the registry if I don't have to. I am not too computer saavy. Thanks in advance.

I have the same modem, all you do is just unplug it and plug it back in ;)
His problem probably cant be fixed by tweaks or something. I think its Adelphia. My speeds are really slow and even in the morning they are slower than usual. Im in the van nuys area.

That's why i switched to dsl adelphia was so incostitent atleast in my area slow as heck down for about 2 weeks at a tim. What's odd is my buddy lives at the other end of town he gets 3.0mbs every day no promblems.
Yes, I'm in the Van Nuys area of California also. On Saturday the customer service said they are experienceing outages.... whatever that is..... today it is a tiny bit better, but not much. I need speed, baby!!! Thanks for all the replies so far.

They think its my router now D=. I doubt its my router thats causing it but i think they should come here and try it x_x. Gonna call them up again.
EDIT: CAlled them again and they said it might be a problem in our area beacuse he pinged other people and said he was getting ms's of 2-3000. So they were going to investigate if it was just me or an area problem. I think if its just me they will call in the next 2 days but if they dont call then its an area problem.....the last time this slow speed came it lasted for like 4 months +.
