Just got the game. Lemme know if any of you's want to play online. Don't have a server going yet, just been browsing for others with good ping.

Are the levels all the same as with Xbox? I've considered picking it up on PC, but I don't want to have to replay all the same levels again.
Not sure about the xbox version, don't have one. Going to play now. I'm on there as 'KckAssBlstr'.

I'll try making a server later on one of my machines. I'll put up the addy around 7:00 CST. I can probably only have around 4 playa's, because my upload is only 256.

i have tried several times to connect, won't let me
under network options in the game setup it will tell you what port it uses
It looks like it is trying to connect on port 63427
THe default server port in Halo is 2302 though
that's what i have... tried TCP instead of UDP

That was fun last night. Did you get bored Brent? I never did get the dedicated (console) server running right. It worked fine for LAN play... but no one else could connect from outside. Finally figured out how to change games without shutting the server down.

i got in, played a couple rounds, found out how badly i suck in Halo, first time really playing the multiplayer though lol
The one thing I had to keep tweaking was the Halo settings cause performance just flat out sucks, even on my PC. I had to do -use14 to force pixel shader 1.4 so it would play smoother and that was at 1024x768! heh.
I think I'll make two shortcuts, one for multiplayer and use the -use11 command line for pixel shader 1.1, that should help a lot with performance so I can actually enjoy a multiplayer game, just not with all the pretty pixel shader 2.0 stuff :(
I noticed my performance sucks too. I'm still using a Leadtek 4200, and have the framerate locked at 30fps 1024x768. Any other settings seem to drag it down a lot. My old dual head Matrox on another machine just fried tonight... looks like i gotta get a new card in the rotation.

my performace is good at 1024x768 full settings and look at my card....

on a Ti 4200 the game uses PS 1.1

Actually I just finished building it. Will be putting Win2k Server on it this week and then halo dedicated server.
Specs:
Dual Athlon Mp 2400+
1GB Crucial PC2100 Registered ECC
Tyan Mainboaird
Intel Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
4 WD 80GB SE Drives Hooked to a Promise rocket raid adapter in RAID 0+1
I will have CS and DoD running on it as well.

Nice specs. Let me know how the dedicated halo server goes. I tried it on a 2000 Pro machine, and never seemed to get the ports right.
