i am looking for a bandwidth limiter for win 2000 for LAN.
i need to limit the access of one computer from the lan to the internet to, say 10k/s.
does anyone know such a program?

nope, netlimiter is not good. its only for my system. i need to put it on the router, so i can allow different internet speeds for other computers...

This question comes on a daily basis on most BBSs related to Network.
It seems that people do not want to accept reality.
Just like there is no Free* New Ferrari.
Free can be done on individual computers.
To control centrally “Free*”, you need to learn Linux and install a Linux Router on your system.

To control centrally Windows 2000 server system you have to buy a very expensive software about $1000-$2000, or a Bandwidth control appliance. (over $1500).

I'm not trying to be rude but it can be done, very easily for free from any system. You can have complete control over any network from one station.
I'm not going to post how for obvious reasons but it can be done. :D

* Free means here: No Money. or Low Cost expense. As well as Legal and Ethical.

i dont need it to be free. i just need it to be a software limiter, thats all :)
