I have a Linksys WRT54G modem w/ a cable modem connection and 6 wireless computers. About once a day I lose internet on all the computers. I can still access the Routers' settings page.
I checked the Status screen of the router, and under the "internet" settings it showed 0.0.0.0 for IP address, DNS, Default Gateway, etc. I tried the DHCP release & renew buttons with no success.

If I connect my laptop directly to the cable modem, I am able to get an intenet connection, and if I then plug the modem back into the modem everything will work again. Usually, if I reset the router & modem by unplugging them for a few seconds it will also work again. This does not always work and sometimes takes several tries.

Can anyone suggest a reason this problem would be occuring and how I might fix it? Is there something else I can test when it happens to get more information?

Sounds like the problem is between the router and the modem - nothing to do with wireless.

Contact your isp's technical support. Do you have the latest/greatest firmware for the router?

its an internal miniPCI wireless G card, honestly could not tell you the manufacturer, although many are for sale on ebay if your laptop supports it. Before I used a Linksys Wireless G PCMCIA card which I was very happy with. ALthough I would suggest that you not install the software that comes w/ the card & let XP control the wireless.
