slow internet connection after a week...

hello,
i have installed a home network of 5 computers conntected to an alcatel 510. all works fine. after a week of working smoothly there is a decreese in network and internet conntection.
after a router reset all is fine again.
what to do?
anyone encountered this phenomenon?
Please help urgently.
these computers a brand new very powerful nothing wrong with this hardware.

I have not worked with that router, seems to be popular in the UK, and elsewhere in the world other than the US market. Seems to come pre-configured by the ISP from what I just read about it.

Rebooting the "all in one" unit seems to speed up your network, so that points to the device, rather than your computers or other network settings. I know that's a common technique to speed things up on more entry level broadband modems and routers, even the ISP's tell you rebooting your broadband modems can speed things up.

If you are allowed to (if your ISP did not install the device pre-configured)...can you upgrade its firmware to the latest version?

MTU settings also can help, but I cannot find where to adjust that on your device, limited available documentation online.
