Folding makes sense in that E.T. might end up being mean...or takes all our women?

I think he meant fold under his name... :p

In that case you should fold under the name Spankin_Barbaric_Beavers. ;) :p :D

Come on, you want to see those beavers running on power wheels don't you?

Confusion - I was refering to SG/Folding, SG/Seti, or SG/Genome.

I take it there is an additional organizational layer that I am unaware of...

Anyway, I have almost 5Ghtz here...

And think folding would be smooth. My mother has lupus...

But please explain the beaver thing

- that really sounds weird when I read it back :)

In the folding team there are mini-teams. Basically bunch ppl crunch together.

The teams are:
Damage_Inc
cypher_138
Fat_Dogs
TheFallenAngels
brembo
The_Executioners

Some people however, like to recruit others and crunch under their names. ;)

Oh the beaver thing.... it was a name I came up with back in my days with AMDMB. I'm from Canada, and you know we are famous for beavers (look for sig). I have some of my friends crunching for me so it's not cool to crunch under my name (Tawcan). There are couple guys on AMDMB called themselves THE SPANKIN PARTY and SPANKIN MONKEY.... since I know them and were competing against them hence the name Spankin_Barbaric_Beavers was born! :D

Just trying to recruit that's all. ;)

Thanks for the clarification - a way of encouraging each other - I like.

I think I'm going to suggest that we use several machines at work for this. Maybe a company team...interesting.

Here is the current link that will get you to the download area for folding. We suggest using the Console version as it folds a little faster than the others as it doesn't use any graphics which slows down the cpu cycles.

The link also will take you to Stanfords stats area.

Welcome to the team and beware; "Folding is addictive."

Tks

I think I'm going to propose that my company join as a team. Our unit is only 1100 people, but our parent company is 80k and there was a meeting to discuss 'community projects' a few weeks ago. I might suggest folding as an add-on to that discussion.

We have lots of boxes that we used to certify 3rd party apps on our platform - one of my guys runs the lab. Many of those are not in use 90% of the time...

Of course what we would like for you to do is join our team.

All the pc's could fold under the company name but be a member of Speedguide Team #15.

But the main thing is to get them folding and for that we don't care how you do it.

Fold on.....:D

I'll see what I can do! We have several linux boxes, some FreeBSD boxes, some windows boxes, but MOSTLY Solaris and HP-UX. I (being a solaris admin before my current position) am confident that we can use binary emulation to get the linux client running on Solaris and FreeBSD - not too sure about the HPs tho.

For security reasons, they won;t allow this on the individual workstations, but Lab1 has 16 Sun E450 boxes (4 way sparc cpus). We have 23 labs in North and Latin America...
