Is Webtrendslive spyware? I did a search and it appears they can track every website you've been to. Adaware and Spyware blaster don't list it as spyware but I have added it to my retricted sites zone - Webtrendslive.com, Webtrends.com and Webtrends.net.

Do a search for Webtrends and see what you think.

I just checked, Spyware blaster does block the webtrends live cookie, I think Adaware would remove it aswell, but it doesn't mention about blocking any webtrends spyware activex/scripts. Maybe there isn't any and theres nothing to worry about... dol

Spyware usually refers to sw that is installed without your knowledge that somehow transmits to a mothership.

Tracking cookies. Harmless but rude.

EDIT: Corrected link above - check out the 'features comparison'

Way true Cybersky.... rude, but when you think about what runs the FREE NET .... they have to sell something. and as long as sites are free, and people buy and shop on the net , there'll be spyware and tracking cookies.
I dont like them either , so thanks for adaware.

ok, I was being a bit of an over secure freak. I'll just let my adaware and spywareblaster/guard decide whats dodgy spyware.

:D

A measure of paranoia is a healthy thing - I live by it :)

Visiting Webtrendslive's Privacy Policy pages (http://www.webtrendslive.com/wtl_marcom/privacy_policy.htm) could give a better understanding about what they do with your info, not that they collect very much. Read all the linked pages
Visiting the site generated at least 5 cookies but that's ok. CookieWall fixed it.

As Skye says.......... A measure of paranoia is a healthy thing.

Take care out there.

I just block all first and and third party cookies with the IE6 privacy settings <> advanced. But set to allow cookies for sites I trust. So I never get cookies I don't want.
I got SpySites from webattack.com which adds dodgy sites to the restricted zones list.
