Is there any way to make the same desktop for a group of users with all the same settings like the items on the start menu and whatnot. It would be deployed to XP computers under 2003 server using AD. The way I do it now is to log into their account and change desktop icons, turn off screen saver, and remove all links for the start menu. Its all small little things I need to change. I know how to redirect the start menu and desktop with group policy but I just dont know how/if you can do what I want to or if I need to do it manually. Users are terminal services users.

You need to customise the defaul user profile

create a user and set up everything you need to
Log on as administrator and go the Control Panel>System
On the advanced tab, click the 2nd button down, User profiles
Click the user you created above, and choose copy to
In the browse dialogue box, copy it to c:\documents and settings\default user

All new users logged onto the comuter will now get the same settings.
