I am using the internet through my university. I just moved up here recently and got my computer all hooked up and whatever. I tried using Kazaa up here and it seems as if anything i try and dl, my bandwidth is really slow, I usually get 1 or less kb/s. Now I know its not just the people i'm dling from.
Could the university put a "speed limit" on Kazaa? I am behind Norton Personal Firewall so they can't see anything that I'm doing, does kazaa use a specific port which they can set bandwidth limits to? Some ideas/speculations would be appreciated. Also any suggestions on fixing my problem if this is not the case.
