Sold to a happy cruncher. Unfortunately on another team and board.

I need to reduce some of my overhead and expense. As such, I will be selling off some of my crunchers. Before putting them in the general sales forum, I thought I'd give you guys first crack at them. I would rather not break up the combos as it will be more difficult to sell the pieces individually.

Combo #1

Tyan Tiger S2460 + (2) x 1.33ghz T-birds (not T-Breds)

Combo #2

Tyan Tiger S2460 + (2) x 1.2ghz T-birds (not T-Breds)

Both combos have performed flawlessly for me, the cpus have never been overclocked (no overclocking features on mobo). Keep in mind that you have to feed Reg/ECC ram to these boards. Anything else is unstable.

I am looking at $160 for Combo #1 and $155 for Combo #2. Shipping to be determined on an exact cost basis. If I am way off base with the prices, let me know. If you want both combos, I'm sure you can bend my arm for a better price.

PM me if interested.

Those prices seem fair. If I did'nt already have 3 rigs here now I'd snag one. The wife would kill me though.:D

Reg/ECC ddr is recommended. Some people have gotten standard ddr to work in the first 2 slots but not many that I know of. :(

All the better to make way for a dual Opteron for Christmas.;) :D

I'd take one but I'm maxed at 4 soon to be 5 systems and a move halfway across the country.:(

Goob,
Are you making way for bigger and better things? I'm assuming you'll still be crunchin' either way.

Cypher,

A little of both. I can't stand the noise from 6 duallies at home anymore. Also, it's damn expensive running that many rigs as well. I'll be keeping at least 2 or 3 duallies and maybe add one new one as Lonewolf suggested. :)

Did I hear watercooling Goobee? ;) :p :D

I've heard that the new Thermaltake silencer is pretty good...maybe you should give that a try. :)

Only problem with watercooling is that it'll raise his power bill even more running multiple pumps 24/7. Plus, it's a lot more expensive.:( I do it because I'm nuts and have the money to blow.:p

I hear you there. Water cooling would be nice. I wonder if you could run all the rigs in series using a 500+gph pump a ten gallon fish tank res and a radiator instead of a heatercore. The downfall here would be the cost of buying 4 to 6 blocks. Just a thought.;)

Easy just put all the computer components into a bath of icy water. That'll solve everything.... :p ;) :D
