I am working on my router and setting up sites to restrict. It says that you can ban complete url's. So my question, is there a specific address for porn stuff? If so, how would I find out the address.

Hi cindy
I am afraid to tell you that it would be too much...they are in the trillions.
I would suggest that you use 'keyword' blocking instead.
The words you would block would be e.g.
*nudity
*_ex (you know what _ means..this is a politically correct group)
*violence
You get the drift.....in that way if those words appear in or on the web page, the page wouldn't get downloaded.
I hope that helps.....let us know and maybe YOSC can supply a better solution.

Yup, I'm the one YeOldeStonecat. I'm still working on the puters.
I'm learning lol. First time I changed the Mac name thing, I goofed and couldn't access the internet myself. I fixed that one and now I am not sure if his college issued laptop can get in. I'll visit the basement later and see if his laptop is on......

Now I'm trying to add words to ban. I was banned.....guess some of my words are over-kill.

I also added that email notification thingy. This will be the first night for it. He has been home for an hour and has already been to some of the banned word sites. It probably doesn't mean he is visiting porn because I was banned earlier (I think the word sex is to broad of a term and limits many decent sites....I'll have to go back in the router and take that one out.
