Hey, ok, i check my ip right. I'm on a router firewall and a software firewall...and a lot of the times i reset my modem cuz it get congested and seems to run better. Anyways i chcked the ip and it gave me an address of some guy that lives in VA and I don't live VA so somehow I am useing his IP. Most of the time it changes. But I was wondering what causes that.

My second question.....

For the past week and a half, I've been spiking(flaking jerking)in Counter-Strike lately. So I reinstall it, change to the best internet settings*tried all kinds*but, I've never had this trouble before it jus started happening. I call RR and they don't no **** like always.

I have checked to see what programs I have running.

First I start up and don't let anything run but CS and things that are default to run, I disable.

Ya so I have cycled my router/modem. Changed the duplex.
Done a speed test*Seems to be fine to me*. Video is fine.

I havent changed anything before it happened.

I'm thinking it is jus a problem with the ISP but I don't know and I don't want them to come out and look at it and not fix it and have to pay 50$ and get a reply "Well we don't know, maybe it's our server and it'll get better."

Your current IP ends in .46, and appears to be a normal IP for Midsouth RR.

Please post some more info about where you are seeing "some guy in Virginia". RR is headquartered there, by the way, and Virginia should ahow as the admin address.

Are you using Ping Plotter or another trace route mapper?
