Need help tweaking Cable internet

Can anyone tell me how to tweak my internet connection?? Currently on cable!! Thanks in advance oh and its not a usb modem its connected to my router wich is then connected to my onboard gigabit lan!!

I've been using the tcpoptimizer myself,works great for me. But I do know it doesn't boost all systems. mccoffee above has the link posted for you.
