I was wondering if anyone has or knows anyone who has used a computer to record multiple security camera's to have backups in to have evidence later and about how much memory each camera uses for 24 hrs and any suggestions of software to either be able to switch camera's or have each one rotate very so often or maybe put all on the monitor at the same time??
anything will be helpful
hopefully I put this in the right place

Personally I get dizzy trying to read posts without punctuation, so I only try on Friday afternoons.

I know ryo, (another member) does this......but I've no idea of the software or the answer to your question...
Try googling "Security cameras" or Security Software..
The one we used where I used to work was for monitoring the manufacturing process on a very long machine.
The monitor would swap from camera to camera and at the end of each cycle the four cameras would open on one screen.
It wasn't for recording the process and we didn't record anything, however the option was there through a VCR.
Going on what memory .mpg files stored from our camera take, it's not viable to store this way. Better to run with a VCR and get the film converted if there is something you need to keep.

Hope this helps.
