okay thanks, i got that installed now it tells me i need managed directX, where do i find that, i looked on microsofts site but found all kinds of directX stuff and am not sure which one to install.

this is what it says in the read me about errors........

"Startup Errors?
==================================================================
At the time being there is only one known startup error. It is
similar to the following:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0x79c (1948), Thread id=0x7a4 (1956)

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

(Note that the numbers may not be the same)

This error basically means that you do not have Managed DirectX
properly installed on your system. In this case, you need to
download Managed DirectX from the following URL:
http://www.socketman.com/MadbullTools/mdxRedist.zip
Unzip the file, then run the *.msi installer file. It might
seem like it does nothing, but it does what it needed to do. Just
restart your computer and try to open the map editor... Everything
should be working just fine."

the link they provide goes nowhere, man i hate software :)

You need to install the DX9 SDK. A roughly 220Meg download.

.NET is infrastructure required to run .NET applications. Not userland...It's a lot like a JVM - you don't 'use' it - certain applications do, however.

What you really need is the right libraries which ones I don't know so just get the entire SDK it should have them all.

I had to install .NET Framework in order for Drive Image 7.0 to even load.
