View Full Version : Is it possible to use 100% of the capacity of download?
I configurated my Adsl with cablenut here in the forum with someones help, and i`m very happy with the results, the connection is better, but i made the speed test and i saw that i still can`t use 100% of the speed, is it possible to use 100%?
I Apriciate your patience.

Most likely no, all ISPs say "speeds up to ...." they NEVER guarantee you will get 100% of your caps. There are way too many factors involved to promise perfect bandwidth.
I agree but I do have to say that since I installed my router I`m hitting about 95 to 98% of the download speed my ISP advertized.
BTW I`m in Holland and I use two servers in the US to get a much better idea of speed over greater distances.
Very good man...
i don`t know what`s the problem with my connection... i just get 70 per cent of it.....
Hey
I just wanted to say that my ISP promised speeds up to 512kbps downstream and 256 upstream, I download (on average) at speeds more than 4 times as fast. My highest was 756 kilobytes a second from a website (no...not kilobits--kilobytes!!!).
I get 500 k files in less than a second.
I love my connection but i had to tweak to the max to achieve this.
I'm using Verizon DSL with the cheap Fujitsu/Orckit Speedport modem, the dark grey one. Custom Cablenut tweaks.
On half of the tests I run, I'm getting about 75% of download speed and 110% of my upload speed.
