So what would happen if Rickoic and BTracy were to join up? And of course pic up a few others along the way. What would that mean?

I like the idea though of everyone joining up together to have the best "click". It adds a little more competition to the competetion.

Maybe Cypher (one of the better "individual" folders) will make a team.

Teams are fun if they boost production but I still say that we need more folders rather than teams. Besides if I did start a team I'd definitly want you on it. And If I went the team route I'd have to be an Executioner.:D I'm trying to hit our top ten so I'll fly solo. I think we're kicking enough a$$ on our own here. Hell we sent Zuma running to the doghouse.:p
:D ;)

Like Cypher, I am trying to get as far as I can on my own production (at least under my own name). But if I were to step down from doing that, it would only be after Cypher did the same (or at the same time). We have a quite a little competition going on.

By the way Cypher, Indy just stopped by with a PSU for my dell 733. So, by the end of the weekend I will be getting a few extra points a week. You better turn up the juice on your farm cause I am coming to harvest!!!!

Oh Cypher, you better watch out for me Tomorrow. I just happened to look at the 5 rigs I have on KDFold and well, it doesn't look pretty for you!!

Don't forget about the other 5 machines I have folding for me that aren't on there!!!! Today was a big point day for me. I think tomorrow will be too. So run and hide, run and hide.

One of us has to come out on top!!!! I just hope it will be me!!!

Tell ya what............ If either of us get's ahead of the other by more than 1500 points then let's roll together from that point on. What do ya say?

True, but this seems to have kicked a bit of life into the whole f@h scene here IMO

A few new people have joined after seeing all the commotion and several old time folders are dusting of old machines and/or whipping out their credit cards.

Hey Lance, maybe we should get a few of the Indianapolis guys together for a team :)

Yeah Lance... You have indeed been gathering steam there.:D I would consider teaming up after I achieve my goal of making it to the top ten. Besides I never hide. I've always been the type to meet the onslaught head on.:D ;)

@ Humby
All of this has certainly spured new intrest in DC here at SG. I see alot more people haunting the teams and clubs board and taking up the cause. Great job!:D

well, I understand that. I have a set up for myself on a floppy where I just copy the files and the set up is done. Of course you would want to wait until your WU is finished before loading it.

Cablenut (rkemery) has written a nice little script to keep up to date with the most recent version of folding. But I have yet to test it on any of my machines. I guess I will have to give it a try on the 733 that I am putting together.

We have a file server we keep it on at work. The pain is trying to get in to all the clients stations without getting them all suspicious. I've been struggleing to change Bumps over. In fact there's still a few more I have yet to get to...At least four of them. If they know it's there they'll start blaming everything that goes wrong on it.

Oh we've been here before lets just see how it all washes out.
Congratulations on the pass though. You've put it into overdrive for sure lately.

Damm. I'm not even in your threat list. If this farm does'nt kick it into gear I have no shot here. Whatever you did keep it up man you're soaring.:D

bah, your ahead of me now by a few points. I lost a 50 or whatever pointer today. The darn rig is doing that boot up and shut down after a few minutes thing. I tried to get the updates from microshaft site but it is so slow I kept timing out.

So, I can kiss those points goodbye. But don't you worry. I have plenty ready to go in for stats tomorrow. I just may come home a little early and get the 733 put together. Just to ward off all those extra points you will be getting here pretty soon.

Great work my man!!!!

Thanks. We're like totaly in sync. My 866 P3 just crapped out on me too. I can't even get into the BIOS on this thing. I'll play with it tomorrow cause I'm not in the mood today.:D

I just read that Tigress.:( Luckily Bump and I are the IT dept. Hopefully we'll get some new rigs in there. We still have PIIs and a 486 we just scrapped. The 486 was only running DOS for a machine program though.

heh, if I worked in the DOIM shop I would have some serious folding going on. That is the part that controls the updates and patches on all of the machines in the Indiana National Guard. But, it is a security risk to them. just think though, we have over 3,000 machines running 24/7. even if they were 450s and it took them a week to turn in a WU worth 20 points that would be 60,000 points a week.

heck if I only ran it on the systems in my division (ARP) it would be over 60 machines. That would add up to 1200 points a week. But the reality is that it takes a PII 450MHz about 4.5 days to complete a tinker worth about 40 points. So, after doing the math based on that a more accurate number is 1560 points a week assuming that they are all PII 450s. But most machines are over 500 MHz which just increases the points per week.

Yeah it would be nice. I am gonna start a small company just so I can afford the extra folding rigs :D

I wish

Now 3,000 rigs would seriously put us up there. Not worth the risk though.

OK Cypher, I just had an epiphany! If Rickoic, BTracy, YOSc, Ken, Jim_F, Hell_Yes, and YoS. Stay folding under their own names there will only be room for one more person to be in the top 10 once the executioners and the Fat_Dogs have had a little time.

The will be blazing by both you and I in a matter of weeks. As time goes on they continue to gain more strength also.

If everyone in the list above does stay folding as themselves at at current output, then it is likely that you could spend the next few years trying to get into the top 10 or that you will get there but go broke buying new rigs.

I think we should think about this. At our current production level it will take either one of us over 15 weeks to hit the score that holds the tenth position right now. But by that time it will be a much higher score and the Executioners and the Fat_Dogs will have already passed us by. Leaving only 1 position to fit into the top 10.

The problem still is that Philip is putting out more points/week than either one of us. Thus making it impossible for either of us to make the top 10 at our current level of output.

I propose we discuss this further.

I do see your point here. The thing is I have yet to see just what this farm can do since I'm still pulling it together. I have 4 more rigs to add and I have to fix that PIII too. I currently have 19 folding as we speak, excluding the PIII. I'm not saying that there's nothing to discuss or no posiablity of an allience of some form. I just need to see the monster I've created rise so to say. So far only 12 have checked into Stanford and the rest shall soon follow.
:D ;)
*Update* Make that 20 rigs are now crunching! I fixed the PIII. WOOT!!!!:D
