Insallation of Folding Program

I am a brand new member of this forum, so I need a little help. I joined Folding@Home, seems to be a meaningful project, but I am confused about how to properly setup the program. I have downloaded the files and installed them ,but now I have a file folder labeled work, a file labeled client cfg, an EXE labeled FAH3 consol, another EXE labeled FahCore_65 and FAHlog text. Which of these do I use to create the shortcut ? Don't mean to be dense but I am far from a computer genius and running this kind of program is a NEW experience.:confused:

Im think its the FAH3.exe but not sure, the folding GODS will be in to help you shortly:D

Now the key is to put 15 in the team number.:D

Thanks for the info! I did post the team as 15, but I am not sure I did the user name correctly. I thought you used your own, can that be fixed? I do want to be a part of this program, it is a small way us little people can help and could very well help me or my family someday. Pretty good feeling!

I am very new to forums, please be patient, there seems to be severel things to learn. My majoy concern right now was to get the folding underway.

You're doing great just for taking up the cause. You can fold with your own name or follow the current team trend. To eit your name if you choose, go the folder you put F@H in, there's a file named client.cfg. Stop the client from running and open that up in note pad. From there you can edit your name or any other relevant info, save it than restart the client and your good to go.

Main thing is welcome to the fold/team.

The main team is Speedguide or 15.

Some of our members are forming little teams within the main team to try and promote a little internal competition. Feel free to fold under your own name or join one of the internal teams.

If you need any help at all please don't hesitate to ask as we all really will give you help.
