TCP options string = 020405ac01010402
MTU = 1492
MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
MSS = 1452
MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for maximum throughput.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 32100
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 32100

For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
127776 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63888 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1284 kbps (160.5 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 513.6 kbps (64.2 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 115 hops

TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000
"""I'm on sbc dsl with the 384-128 package 17000 ft. from co.Jusi wanted to see if i could get any more out of these download speeds are about 260 down average and 128 up.when downloading stuff I get around 32 kbs.Windows xp,behind a router ppoe. Thanks

Try the following in cablenut don't for get to save to registry and reboot. Also do you have static ips set if you don't highly recomened that for speed. Also what router you have??
DefaultReceiveWindow = 49152
DefaultSendWindow =16384
DisableAddressSharing = 1
InitialLargeBufferCount = 200
InitialMediumBufferCount = 480
InitialSmallBufferCount = 640
LargeBufferSize = 81920
MaxFastTransmit = 64000
MediumBufferSize = 15040
PriorityBoost = 0
SmallBufferSize = 1280
TransmitWorker = 32
FastSendDatagramThreshold = 4096
EnableFastRouteLookup = 1
EnablePMTUDiscovery = 1
IgnorePushBitOnReceives = 0
GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize = 11616
MaxHashTableSize = 16384
MaxNormLookupMemory = 5000000
SackOpts = 1
SynAttackProtect = 1
Tcp1323Opts = 0
TcpLogLevel = 1
TcpMaxDupAcks = 3
TcpMaxHalfOpen = 100
TcpMaxHalfOpenRetried = 80

I used your settings not to much of a difference,I was looking around the forum I remember seeing a post on how to set static ip's but I can't find it. can you point me to it or give me the explanation to set it to static.Router is a D-LINK 604,also this string is not in my registry[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servi
ces\Dnscache\Parameters]
"NegativeCacheTime"=dword:00000000
"NetFailureCacheTime"=dword:00000000
"NegativeSOACacheTime"=dword:00000000 This is what I got default reg_sz (value not set) servicedll reg_expand_sz %system root%\system32\dnsrslvr.dll I was looking at your tweak for dns lookups should I add the strings.Thanks for your help.

Hi smorgas76:D, I would suggest upping your RWIN a bit, try the following changes:

GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize & TcpWindowSize - 20328

:cool:

Thanks for your help guys I'm still staying around the same I don't think my line is very stable i'm 17100 feet from co.some weeks I'll push almost my full advertised speeds other weeks slows down.Techs have been out they wanted to cap my line at 192.**** if they do that what's the sense of broadband.all I know is when I signed up they guaranteed 384-128 not this up and down stuff.

http://dslnuts.com/DSLwiring.shtml have the techs try this or if you know anyone with electirical/phone wirring experence try that. Also with sbc you could get the 768/128 and or the 1.5/128 plain for 30 bucks. :D

That's what the bummer is sbc said I was too far from co to get the upgraded package.I signed my granddad up he's flying around the net at the 1.5 package and I'm stuck at the low end and we are both paying 30 bucks.How's that for a real joke.Just all depends on your location I guess.
