I still have my trusty old MS Sidewinder 3D Pro...connects with the old game port..hence I have to keep my SB Live Gamer card around. I've been wanting to pickup a USB one.

Such a bummer MS will stop selling these, and they sure take a beating, and keep on working.

Also a very nice feature of them, was such compatiblity with about every major game out there. Any other brand joystick, and it's a crapshoot wether your game will have integrated full support of it or not.

Microsoft makes nice hardware. Their Keyboards, Mice, Joysticks, and gamepads are among the best if not the best. They just do a ****ty job of marketing them, and it's a damn shame.

I have always used Logitech. I was in Frys yesterday and picked up a Wingman 3D w/POV for $14 (Normally they were $49). I have never had a problem with Logitech and their drivers are updated frequently.

No matter which brand you finally decide on make sure you get one that has the twist rudder control. Might cost a few bucks more but if you are into Combat Flight Sims, or regular flight sims it will be well worth it.
