View Full Version : starting to mod this Inwin case
Here (http://web.tampabay.rr.com/snakepit/index/photos/fansunderway/) are some resized pics of what I did this morning, took a piece of lexan and cut 2 holes for some low speed 92mm fans that I had, yes it needs matching fan grills. I still need to drill holes for thumb screws and paint a boarder around the edge, and then take off the protective plastic to make it a window.
I have a new cpu fan and some fan grills coming and then will rewire the whole case and reset the heatsink.
next phase, kinda put things off for awhile, still need to tackle the wires.
moved the hard drive cage down to put it in front of a 92mm fan i installed up front, drilled out the 80mm fan hole in back to a 92mm fan.
yanked out the stealth fan he had in back and in the power supply.
not pretty but i have lowered the temps by about 10 C or so and it is not much louder, atleast to my ears.

I take all the grills off of my fans, even the power supply. A little less noise, better airflow, and you don't have to clean the dirt off the grills each time you clean the pc.
