Yes, my AMD machine was a 1900+ running around 2100, with a GeForce 3 64 DDR, playing at 1024x768. So barely faster than yours, but your video card is substatially faster than my GF3. They key to '42 is RAM...and lots of it. 512 megs is "adequate"...barely adequate. 768 gives it more breathing room....1024 is sweet for it. This really loves to load up on RAM. You shut down anti-virus real time protection when you play?

Also do you overclock your video card at all? Try it.

Might wanna try running it at 16 bit just to compare performance.

It runs perfect at 1024x768 32 and all the graphics settings on high.

My system runs it pretty good with some settings kicked up (when online) when offline it bogs down like crazy. I think this is because of all the AI that is going on. Anyway my cpu is now seen as a 1900 b/c of the overclocking. Isn't there a demo out there to try? Give that a go and see if it runs good! :)

during one of my BF LAN parties I had a guy with an old Athlon T-bird (1400+?), 512MB RAM (I believe it was PC133? not sure) & a Geforce2 MX400 64MB DDR. It ran just fine... I don't remember what settings he had it on or what fps he was getting but it ran perfectly smooth.

If anyone is having problems with it running laggy or choppy, try turning down the sound quality a couple notches. I know it sounds weird but trust me, I seen it somewhere on a forum and it worked for me, I still have all the graphics settings set to high. Runs great and sounds ok too.
