Need Help W/Graphics

Lately pix are not loading properly on web sites. In many cases, an "X" appears where the pic should be. If I right click on it and then select "Show Picture", the pic will appear. This just started. Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem could be? (W98SE through a router to a cable modem.)

First step might be to try emptying your temp internet files and cookies. When IE is open, Tools, Internet Options, play around with that first.

Also do you have an updated version of IE?

I frequently empty the temp files and cookies. That does not help. I am running IE 6.0.2800.1106IC.
