View Full Version : easiest way to segment a single large mp3
scenario... i have a couple concerts in .mp3 form that i would like to break up into seperate tracks to burn to CD (in CD audio format) to make it easier to skip ahead to a certain song without having to manually scan.
easy way to do this is?.....
i am a little light on the cd burning software. i have nothing installed yet, but i have EZ CD Creator 5 and if i dig around, an older version of Nero. if there is a standalone app that would just handle the segmentation, that would be great as the burning to cda isn;t the problem.
any help would be appreciated.
i have used nero wave editor to do that or something like goldwave (http://www.goldwave.com/)

Faust...it's pretty easy to do.....When you load your song...you simply highlight one song...then save it...make sure you remember where you cut...then do the same for the rest...Also..you could fade in and out of the songs if you so desire...I do and I don't. It depends..If I want the concert to flow without breaks, I leave it alone.
Also MP3Trim will do the same, but you'll still have to convert to wav..
man, Goldwave is a spectacular app.
somewhat of a learning curve (nothing major. just figuring out the fastest way to get somehihng done was the hard part... being a man, i refuse to read the instructions :p ), but i am thinking about buying a licence.
great app. thanks for the guidance, guys. :)
