Templates in Word & Excel

I'm using MS Office 2000 and and working on some documents in Word and Excel that I want to save as templates (or what ever the correct term is) and be able to fill in the blanks without changing the original layout. I would prefer to be able to save the completed ones as a different document, but if I could print it and not save it, that would be better than nothing.

Anyone know how to do this ?

Make your template, then save it as a Template. Then you can open either word or excel and goto, file,new and you should be able to browse to your template (Just save it in with the other MS Office Templates.
Then you can create your documents at will and you will always have the original template.
