ive recently been getting heaps of popups even when internet explorer is closed
i downloaded 'ad watcher' a program that clears and detects them... it detected the popups and each time it stated the popups had a parent process of normal programs, such as winamp and msn messenger and the parent process changes each time... they r only making it appear that they come from this process, how can i clean these popups completely without the use of popup programs?

here are some logs of popups that were recorded by adwatcher, can any1 help??

I'd start by downloading and running Ad Aware 6 and the newest ref file followed by a download and run of Spybot Search and Destroy with the latest update file. Sounds almost like a form of a hijacker.

If neither one does anything for you, let me know and I'll do some more digging. Usually one or the other will get rid of the offending tidbit.

thanx, well ve gone o my 3 gig limit on my cable access so they have limited my connection to to 28.8kbps :(
so i will have to wait half an hour before spybot finishes downloading, so i wont be telling u results until after then
thanx

Keep both programs. What one doesn't find, usually the other does. Too much crap to detect now a days! ;)
