sygate4.5 home netwark

2 pcs with new win98 installation conencted as wentwork - direct
conection, no hub- file & print shering is installed on both and tcp/ip. the network is working and each pc can see the other (i shared 1 folder on each).
then i installed the home network 4.5 of sygate as a server on the pc with USB cable modem. and left the setup at it's default settings. checked the ip add. & it is 192.168.0.1 (start soptawre on window start, enable DHC and farward DNS are all checked)
i can brows the web from this pc.
then installed the sygate as a client on 2nd. pc - the icon on the task bar is showing that there is no problem as it show when there is no problem.
r click on IE /connection then setup , select manual setup then
selected connect using LAN and finish.
but i cant get to the web , i amgetting "cant disply this page"
i tryed different URL but nop.
i spent almost 3 h trying all kind of settings but nop.
please, please try to help as i am coing crazy.

i just went thru the same thing. i had to manually set the ip address on the server machine and uninstall Internet Connection Sharing before installing Sygate Home. on the client pc, all i did was set the ip and gateway. i did not install Sygate on client and it works.
