First. my dsl router took a dump today. So I decided to connect my 2 comps runing xp pro using internet sharing. Well the problem is that both comps say that the network cable for that nic is unplugged. I can swap around the cables and use that same nic to connect directly to modem, so I know it is not the cards. I also switched out both nic in both comps and changed out the cat 5 cable going between them just to make sure. That still had no effect. I do not know what else to do short of going out and getting another router. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
