new to the forums...and i need help

i guess thats y we all come here.... anyways ive tried all ur thingamobabers (read me first patches, and cablenut)... my download speeds are HORRIBLE!!! maybe its me maybe its charter (my isp) or maybe its the evil bunnies that are under my couch.... plz plz help me!!!
