Custom designed and built system including the custom water cooled PC case. The water cooling allows for reliability on the hottest days. The Wireless net working connects to the house to download any and all MP3, DVD, and MPEG files for play on the 15" LCD display. I have to admit I am a bit jealous of the compact car design with center consoles providing a great place for the 5-7" TFT LCD displays. The 15" is from a desktop Philips unit that I de-cased.
The overwhelming size of the clear acrylic case is for the water cooling multiple drives and the learning curve of using acrylic for the first time. The board is painted with neon paint, water has neon die, UV lights activate the paint and die.

The system will also auto detect open networks while driving along such as Starbucks or Hilton Hotels.

I'm impressed, very nice system you've made for yourself there scotmack. It must have been a great experience building that machine, and learning everything you needed to know to finish the project.

Congrats to you.

With all that knowledge you'll be a real asset around here helping others with thier problems.

Welcome to SpeedGuide scotmack, enjoy your stay.

sincerely

Norm

Thanks!

People always ask me if I have seen the new Wi-Fi systems coming out. This is a wi-fi I guess, anything using the 802.11b wireless standard.

If I may make a suggestion....

Take some more shots of it, close ups, and clearer than these ones, all angles, and post a thread in the hardware forum. I'm sure the guys in there would appreciate such a fine piece of art, and you never know, you may make a few new friends as well.
You might pick up some more ideas as well.

The hardware forum is the place to be with a system like this. The guys in there love modding and OC'ing thier rigs.

Networking guys are a bit boring.

Just kidding guys, you know me :D

where is teh rig usually at wwhile driving and while you use it and stuffs.?

my only suggestion would be to move the rig/case under the seat or something like that....
even though teh case looks great and stuffs..you DON'T WANT somebody jacking your ride or your rig...

oh and BTW; looks pretty sweet.. :D
