Well if yer not into download a ton of fixes you could wait a little longer. Service pack 4 is just around the corner. And will contain most if not all of the curently available fixes. Other than that I install all of the critical updates, Any relevent Recomended updates, and Driver Updates.

Have always done all the updates for all the OS's, and have yet to have any problems due to updates.

I always wait for the service pack to be released unless an update is a really important one. I've never had issues when updating regularly in 98, but have seen others with issues recently due to ms releasing an update before it was fully tested.

In a corp environment it is necessary to get updates asap, but for a home user it's not that important.

I NEVER get drivers via MS update, always from the manufacturer.

Same here, there are only a few drivers that I have ever downloaded from there. Stuff that was nolonger available from the Manufacture since they were out of business.
