I'm trying to figure out the value of having battery packs for digital cameras. Many of the battery packs cost $50+ and a set of 4 NiMh batteries are less than $20.
The Energizer's I saw today are each 1850 mAh (milliAmp hours) and I've seen some 1950mAh's as well although they seemed a lot more expensive for having like 6% more power. Given that most cameras take 2 AA batteries, there's about 3700 mAh total.
How do most battery packs stack up against 2 AA batteries?
What is the mAh rating for an alkaline AA battery (eg. Duracell Ultra) - I think I just found they are 2850 mAh.
What is he mAh rating for a Lithium ion AA battery (I notice Energizer sell one)?
