Internet page hang up

I have just completed sign up with a cable internet provider and am experiencing a strange problem. When I connect to the internet and go from page to page I experience a slow down in the page opening.

The page opens but you cannot access anything on the page or scroll up or down for 45 seconds. This happens everytime you go between internet pages.

I have had everything checked up to the computer and all id\s good. I have patched in a laptop computer and that work fine.

I've tried 2 different NIC cards with the same results.

Any suggestions.

Try multiple browsers.
Then try another computer.
If you get consistent results with both then deal with the problem as a provider issue.

This problem often comes from ads on the page. One site that gives me the problem is CNNFN. The page loads promptly, but I cannot click on a hyperlink, etc, until the last ad finishes loading.

The same thing can happen with page components that are not ads. The problem comes when the components are on a different server at a different URL that has to be resolved, then and appropriate custom page has to be generated.
