A few years back there was a service that allowed you hit their website and from there you could go anywhere with out your local proxy checking to see if your surfing ebay, games, forums or pages your admin folks don’t want you to see from work.

This is getting out of hand because they recently band speedguide as something they don’t want surfed anymore. Once I explained why I surf SG, they opened it back up. I work in the IT field… go figure.

Anyway the blocking is getting out of hand and I’d like to find a service I can use from work without the hassle of asking to unlock a website from the security admins evil list.

Unrestricted surfing is out of the question and I’m prepared to answer for any pages I surf that my company logs. I’m just sick of the crap I have to go thru to unlock a harmless page that has an evil word in a Meta tag or web page description.

I guess I should have asked...

Anyone know of a link or a site I can get to that allows me around the proxy check of evil words my network looks for?

If so please post.
Thanks

Most people who could answer you on these boards are system/security professionals who probably would not want someone telling their users how to bypass security measures. At my company, if you knowingly bypass security, they will escort you from the building same day - seen it happen twice in my three years here.

The proxy could be set up to read all URL info anyway. Unless you were connecting to an SSL site they could still block you. Depends on how sophisticated the proxy system is.

Good luck,
