Brought home a boat today...been over two years since I've had one. Sold my jetboat when I bought the house. Kinda ironic since I bought a house with a dock in the backyard...but $ needs.

Anyways, got this boat used...it's a 1981 Baja 15SS....about 15'6', with a Johnson 90hp V-4 outboard.

Colors are misleading on the bottom half....it's a deep brick red/black on the lower part, and originally had a brighter red topsides, with that metal glitter flake gelcoat so common back in those years...but some prior owner painted the topsides this horrible teal like color. Next winters project....repaint the topsides! For this summer....just need to get bottom paint (antifouling) on her so I can leave her in the water, she's only been trailered to a fresh water lake her whole life.

OMG... that is really awesome, Cat.

I got my Jeep home today as well from St Louis. I put a couple pics in general forum as just a "notice". When the weather breaks here, I'm going to clean it up real good and take lots-o-pics for this forum.

:)

That's not a boat lol...that's a conoe with a rocket attached to the rear lol.....

Sorry...after sinking in the Delaware Canal due to the dredging lines being raised....I will not ever step foot in a boat less than 24'. Why? Anything bigger than 24' you can easily fit another boat inside of lol.

I invested wisely in drugstore.com and next year we are going to buy one of our dreams....the Sea Ray 290 Amberjack. I would have bought it this season but I'm leaving soon.;)

Sea Rays are hugely popular in my area, many of their Express Cruiser models...I love them, and Maxums. A nice low to mid 30 footer of one of them is on my list down the road.
