changing folding name

I had to reinstall folding on one of my comps, when I did this I put a different name as my usual name.(brain fart i guess) What I am wondering is if I change it in the configure area to my original name, will it switch everything to my old name or will the work under the newest name stay under that name?

Hope this isn't confusing.

First you need to stop the pc from folding before it finishes a work unit. Easiest way is with a CTRL-C

Then you can go a couple of ways.

1. Edit the client file so that your correct name is in it. Then restart folding.

2. Delete the client file and then just restart folding and reinput the information.

Either of the 2 methods will correct the problem.

unfortunately any completed work under the mistaken username will stay there. Any future work that is completed will be credited to the corrected username.

Pretty much, how it works is whatever username and team are in the client file when a work unit completes is what username and team number that work is credited to.

As far as correcting the info, Rickoic is dead on. Of course when it comes to folding he is the team GURU

I used Michael Trombley on accident. Didnt even realize it until I checked this forum to see my real name posted, I was like WTF????LOL. :D
