Hi.
I just wanted to know witch tweak would be best for me? I'm running ME and have a cable connection. I was looking at the tweaks and didn't really know which one would be best for me to use. I want like everyone to get the maximum speed out of my connection.

Hope this helps.
No I do not have tcp optimizer, cable nut, cablenut update.
OS - ME
TCP options string = 020405b401010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 17520
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 17520
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 700.8 kbps (87.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 280.32 kbps (35.04 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 118 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000
Im on Cable. From suscom and its rated for 1544 kbps

Ok do the following:
Download the TCP Optimizer (http://www.speedguide.net/files/TCPOptimizer.exe) and try the following settings.
Settings tab:
select - cable modem
check - custom settings
network adapter selection - your NIC
check modify all adapters
maxmtu - 1500
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 17520 or 32120 (your better off finding your own value using the instructions in my help & tips link)
MTU Discovery - yes
Black Hole Detect - no
Selective Acks - yes
Max Dup ACKs - 3
TCP 1323 Options - uncheck both boxes
Other Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 10
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 20
Lan Browsing Speedup - optimized
Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect.
VERY IMPORTANT TO DO THE FOLLOWING
1. Under your Configuration tab for your Network settings make sure you have only the needed protocols.
2. Open IE and select tools - internet options - connections - LAN settings, make sure NOTHING there is checked.
3. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your NIC from the manufacturer. Set your NIC duplex mode to 10mb half duplex for Cable, for DSL it is ISP dependent unless you are using a router, if so then set it to 100mb full duplex for both Cable & DSL (the instructions are in my Help & Tips link (http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73799)). If you are using a router make sure you have the latest firmware.
4. Clear your temporary internet files.
5. Power cycle your modem, unplug it for atleast 15 seconds.
6. Download and update then do a scan with SpyBot 1.2 (http://beam.to/spybotsd) & Ad Aware 6.0 (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download) to remove any spyware then install and update SpywareBlaster 2.5.3 (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/spywareblaster.html) to stay spyware FREE. YOU MUST USE BOTH AD AWARE & SPYBOT TO ENSURE YOU ARE SPYWARE FREE SINCE ONE FINDS WHAT THE OTHER MISSES.
7. Make sure you do the faster web page tweak in my Help & Tips link (http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73799).

Awesome thanks for the great help. Should I run the test again after this and post it for you to see or just go with it :D Thanks again!

Yes go ahead and post another TCP/IP Analyzer test, just remember ALL the TCP/IP Analyzer does is show your current TCP/IP settings, it is NOT a speed test. Along with the analyzer results please run some speed tests from Speakeasy (use multiple sites to see if there is an improvement) the links to them are in my help & tips link.
:) :D

I know this is going to sound really stupid to you, but what do you mean by this? I mean in the configuration tab I have several things.
1. client for microsoft networks (im a single user and dont share any files)
2. cnet pro 200wl pci fast eithernet adaptor.
3. dial up adapter
4. tcpip-> cnet pro 200wl pci fast eithnet adaptor
5. tcpip_> dial up adaptor.
Are you saying i should get rid of what i dont use here?
I did change the setting in the cnet pro 200wl pci fast eithernet adaptor to 10o full Mbps. im useing a router
Also under bindings in the tcpip cnet 200wl-> properties should i have the client for microsoft networks checked?
